Paul, For me, tolerance is tied to the source of the bounce. If the subscriber has some element of control (for example, their mail box fills...) then I am less tolerant. It is their problem to keep the mail box open enough to take new mail. If, however, their service has transient difficulties - that's where I am more tolerant. For one thing, they can't control it. For another, once I get used to it, I can just ignore it. Although for those who have transient service problems, I do sometimes ask them to go digest, so that if they have a bad day, it's one or two errors, not 30 or 40. Some of this, I think, will depend on your subscriber base and your traffic. As these grow, it becomes more and more difficult to 1/ track this kind of error, and 2/ deal with the volume.
