Maybe I'm missing the context here, but I don't see a problem
with people doing this in and of itself.

If the rmd posts are a problem, then they are a problem whether or
not the user reads via a newsreader on rmd, or via a mail reader
either individually or in digest form.  Some people may just
prefer the mail reader interface, or have a crappy Usenet feed.

Why does it matter where, or from how many places, a person
chooses to read from?
