Pete, Hmmm. Ok, bear with me, I'm still learning. It's probably not option 1 because the list is not open to public subscriptions. We have an admin that adds new subscribers by sending the "Add listname pw=xx e-mail firstname lastname" command. So that leaves option 2. Is it that the subscriber has their e-mail address forwarded to another address OR that the domain is forwarding it to another domain and so on? That makes sense. So, I should try sending the [log in to unmask] a message and see what the result it as well as ask for their advice on why the problem migh be occuring. Also, I've included the details from the returned error message. Author: Pete Weiss <[log in to unmask]> at Internet Date: 4/1/98 8:23 AM It could be any one of a number of things: 1) the user is subscribed with personal distribution options other than SHORT 2) a mail forwarding loop exists and the number of RECEIVED: line headers exceeds an SENDMAIL's threshold. Contact the postmaster at the site. If that also loops, look for other MX hosts, or higher level domains. Sometimes finding related hostnames for the authoritative DNSes provide additional avenues of pursuit/notification. -- mailto:[log in to unmask] Tel: +1 814 863 1843 31 Shields Bldg; University Park, PA 16802-1202 USA Powered by: LISTSERV, Eudora, Netscape, mIRC, FreeAgent "Are you Y2K compliant?"
