Youch. 1.8b is before my time, so I don't know about any possible
issues with digests way back then. All I can suggest is to encourage
your LISTSERV admin to upgrade to one of the currently supported
versions of LISTSERV, either 1.8c, or preferably 1.8d (currently in pre-
release state).
