I have a list owner complaining that one of their subscriber's postings keep getting rejected with the message below. I've checked and they don't have any filtering in the list header. I don't have any filtering defined for our site, just whatever LISTSERV's default filtering is. That is part of my question. What specifically does the default filtering look for? I have only been able to find references in the documentation to "root" being filtered by the default process. Is there anything else? Does anyone have any suggestions, from the included message, what is causing the filtering to take place? Could it be the "Sender: Postmaster@..." header line? Thanks for any help with this. _______________________________________________________________________ University of Louisville [log in to unmask] _______________________________________________________________________ ----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Date: Tue, 1 Dec 1998 08:53:18 -0500 From: "L-Soft list server at University of Louisville (1.8c)" <[log in to unmask]> Subject: CARE: error report from GWISE.LOUISVILLE.EDU To: Betty Hampton <[log in to unmask]> The enclosed message, found in the CARE mailbox and shown under the spool ID 3435 in the system log, has been identified as a possible delivery error notice for the following reason: mail origin is listed in the "Filter=" list header keyword (or its default value for the CARE list). ------------------------ Message in error (21 lines) -------------------------- Return-Path: <> Received: from ULKYVM (NJE origin SMTP@ULKYVM) by ULKYVM.LOUISVILLE.EDU (LMail V 1.2c/1.8c) with BSMTP id 0693; Tue, 1 Dec 1998 08:53:17 -0500 Received: from unix1.it-datacntr.louisville.edu (136.165.4.27) by ULKYVM.LOUISVILLE.EDU (IBM VM SMTP V2R3) with TCP; Tue, 01 Dec 98 08:53:17 EST Received: from gwise.louisville.edu (gwise.louisville.edu [136.165.253.148]) by unix1.it-datacntr.louisville.edu (8.8.8/8.8.7) with SMTP id IAA39760 for <[log in to unmask]>; Tue, 1 Dec 1998 08:55:14 -0500 Received: from gwgate-Message_Server by gwise.louisville.edu with Novell_GroupWise; Tue, 01 Dec 1998 08:55:14 -0500 Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> X-Mailer: Novell GroupWise 5.2 Date: Tue, 01 Dec 1998 08:54:50 -0500 From: "Ron Padgett" <[log in to unmask]> Sender: [log in to unmask] Reply-To: [log in to unmask] Errors-To: [log in to unmask] To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: Volunteers needed I will be on vacation thru December 1.
