Since we moved from VM/CMS to AIX, I see different bounces (that I don't normally see) -- I don't know if this is due to a change of MAILER, IP address, or LISTSERV(R) platform-specific code. In this case, it appears to be a broken MTA at SUNYIT.EDU site, based on some non-PSU' experience. Nevertheless, I am seeing intermittant bounces for various (but not consistent) userids (not all) @HOTMAIL.COM, Also, BAD SEQUENCE bounces. Didn't see any of these when we used L-MAIL on VM. >At 03:54 PM 12/10/1999 -0500, you wrote: >>Looks like we are still being black holed according to the error report, BUT >> >>http://maps.vix.com/cgi-bin/lookup >> >>does not reveal that for the IP address: >> >>128.118.141.59 >> >>Any body know what's going on? >> >> >><Begin Forward> >> >> >>------------------------ Message in error (118 lines) >>------------------------- >>Received: from f05n16 (f05n16.cac.psu.edu [128.118.83.69]) >> by f05n16.cac.psu.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with ESMTP id PAA52512 >> for <[log in to unmask]>; Fri, 10 Dec 1999 15:37:24 -0500 >>Received: from localhost (localhost) >> by f05n16.cac.psu.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3) with internal id PAA62596; >> Fri, 10 Dec 1999 15:35:38 -0500 >>Date: Fri, 10 Dec 1999 15:35:38 -0500 >>From: Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON> >>Message-Id: <[log in to unmask]> >>To: <[log in to unmask]> >>MIME-Version: 1.0 >>Content-Type: multipart/report; report-type=delivery-status; >> boundary="PAA62596.944858138/f05n16.cac.psu.edu" >>Subject: Returned mail: Service unavailable >>Auto-Submitted: auto-generated (failure) >>X-Report-Type: Nondelivery; boundary="> Error description:" >> >> >>An error was detected while processing the enclosed message.
