Hi all,
A quick query, in the site managers manual, there seem to be two
contradictory entries regarding what happens to a post from a non-subscriber
to a moderated mailing list.
On the one hand section 13.3.1 states that non-subscriber mail will be
rejected, whilst section 14.1 says that non-subscriber mail would be
moderated. Can you confirm that the latter is true, it seemed to work when I
tried some quick tests but would like confirmation before telling my list
owners about this.
Whichever is true is there a way of switching between the two, there doesn't
seem to be any way of coding e.g. "send= private, editor" or is there ?,
or alternatively "send= public, editor".
Thanks
Duncan Russell
Section 14.1 says;
Note also that this does not apply to second and subsequent
editors. For instance, in order to allow subscribers to post directly but
have non-subscriber posts sent to an editor for approval, you can code
something like:
* Send= Editor
* Editor= [log in to unmask],(MYLIST-L)
Section 13.3.1 says;
if the lists are set to reject postings from non-subscribers (e.g., "Send=
Private" or "Send= Editor"),
