Thanks to the following members who helped shed light on the problems I was
having with interacting  with LISTSERV:
Listserv Admin
Christopher Barbot
Valdis Kletnieks.

The problem, indeed, was with AOL spam filter. All other members of the list
had no problems with receiving or sending their mail. I had to change my
fspam filter from AOL to allow all.

Valdis, I did not understand the file you sent what could i do with it?

In my frustration i sent command PW RESET, would this change the password I
use as list administrator?
