I have a list where only Editors may post, other need approval.
I've set it as follows:
Send= Editor,hold
and then I have a number of Editor= lines, so that the machines that
post autonotices (it is the distribution list for our trouble-ticket
system) to it. I had one of the machines (that due to severe brain-
death in its administrators does not accept replies, there is not
even a MX record or A record for it. That is The Phone Company for
you) can post directly, and not need approval. This works as long as
the machines do not change their From: address without telling us.
Then, in theory, postings go to the Editor= who can approve them.
I had one of the machines as the first Editor= like so:
Editor= [log in to unmask], [log in to unmask]
Suddenly they changed their From: which did indeed trigger a posting
to the Editor= with a request for approval. But, only to the FIRST
email address. Which is a machine. That does not accept mail.
My question: Is it as should bem that only the first address on the
Editor= line that should get the approvals? Why have several Editors
then? Is this documented? Can it be adjusted? Oh, btw; I'm on 1.8d.
