Issue a 'show license' command to LISTSERV to determine if you have a
1.8e license installed or not. My first guess is that this is a
license problem.
(If you have been issued a 1.8e license but are having problems
getting it to 'take', you should write to [log in to unmask] about the
problem, even if you do not have a support contract.)
