Hello,
I’m trying to get he web archive interface running on Windows 2003 Server. I
have done this before on Windows NT 4 and 2000; but I am having trouble with
2003. Is wa.exe just incompatible with Windows 2003 Server? I can not find
any information in any of the L-Soft lists or through Google.
I figure there is just a Windows 2003 security issue that I can not find
documented anywhere that prevents executables from running on a web site.
Has anyone been able to get it to work? If so, what's the trick?
When I try to access the web interface (http://blah_blah/bin/wa.exe) I get a
"the page can not be found" error (that’s 404). The site has permission to
run "scripts and executables". If I change to just "scripts", then, as
appropriate, "wa.exe" is downloaded to by browser instead of run (so the URL
is correct and working). If I switch back to "scripts and executables" I get
the "the page can not be found" error again.
Using 1.8e.
All users have "Full Control" over all files.
If I run "wa.exe" directly from the command line on the server, it spits out
the correct HTML.
I can telnet to port 2306 and issue commands, so that’s not blocked.
WWW_ARCHIVE_CGI and WWW_ARCHIVE_DIR are set correctly.
The "archives" directory is there and list messages are being posted inside
"archives" when people send to the lists.
The web site config works. If I drop in html files, I can browse them.
Listserv is working, you can mail to lists and it distributes the message.
Help?
