Our build date is 16 Dec 2002. Presumably, this includes the first three
changes listed above. We have 'TUNE_MANY_LISTS=1' in go.user, and are
exporting that variable. Perhaps we will see some additional performance
improvements when we upgrade from 1.8e to 14.3. That is on our to-do list,
but we have not yet set a date.
