Whenever you think DISTRIBUTE jobs, you should be thinking LISTSERV Maestro
instead.
LISTSERV and LISTSERV Maestro cannot query the LDAP database directly, but
there is a ODBC-LDAP bridge tool that can be used for this purpose. I know of a
major news organization that does exactly that, to query millions of email
addresses from LDAP to use as recipients for LISTSERV Maestro jobs.
If you are interested in the ODBC-LDAP bridge tool, talk to your L-Soft sales
rep. They can put you in touch with the vendor.
