specified as "dash dash space lineend", so that does not surprise me.

Because some mailers want to drop trailing blanks I am guessing that
many implementations treat the dash dash lineend as the same seperator.
Perhaps the RFC now calls the trailing space as optional.
I just tried it myself and the echo did not show the blank:

So it would seem that listserv is dropping trailing blanks.
A bug? I would say yes.
Worthwhile fixing? Thats up to Lsoft. IMHO probably not.
