The Revised LISTSERV Distribution List <LSTSRV-L@EB0UB011> |
How would you announce the creation of a list-announcement list?
On the list-announcement-announcement list? ;-)
Seriously, I would suggest creating such a list (the LISTLIST
list?), and announce it on CONTACT, LIAISON, LSTSRV-L, UG-L, XMAILER,
MAIL-L and anything else vaguely related. This would, of course, be a
Distributed- Listserv managed list, to avoid problems and load :-).
An equivalent exists on the ARPANet, the List-of-Lists list, that
is compiled into a file which is publicly available. Perhaps the
LISTLIST list could be (periodically) digested into a LISTOF LISTS
file for NETSERV? Such a file would have the Primary Owner, Abstract,
and Peer Servers for all announced lists. Perhaps also a rough
estimate of the usual message traffic?
RUTVM1 could house a peer of this list, if it comes to life.
Anyone else interested?
