The Revised LISTSERV Distribution List <LSTSRV-L@DEARN> |
Actually, according to RFC822 you needn't put anything between
list-name: and the ;. Obviously one wouldn't want to put all the
names of the list there: the individual name(s) suffice. Perhaps
it would be best to put a modified id in Sender like
LSTSRV-L-REQUEST
Or does this run afoul of the 8 character limit. Incidentally,
how does listserv (in collaboration with MAILER possibly) get the mail
for the userids that are names of lists. Since, for example,
theorynt@ndsuvm1 is never logged on (it's not clear that such a id
even exists -- at least to VM), what hack transfers mail destined for it
to LISTSERV?
