For what it's  worth, the problem is  not so much the queue  sizes as the
use of the  VM name server. It has  been broken from day one  and IBM has
claimed  "it  is now  fixed"  in  every new  release.  You  cannot run  a
production service with the  VM name server, at least not  when used as a
plain caching server  (its primary name server functions might  be ok for
all  I know).  If you  run  Multinet on  JHUVMS, I  recommend using  that
instead.
