For the first question, I don't know if someone can alter
other users' subscription options "accidentally." But if one
sends out a forged e-mail message to the LISTSERV, it is
possible. On my list, to prevent such unpleasant incidents,
I have the following line in the list header:
* Validate= All,Confirm
This way, each command which may change a subscription flag
has to be confirmed by the e-mail account owner (a one-way
forged message wouldn't complete the change).
For the second question, I don't know the answer, but I'd
like to know it too.
Kind regards,
Jim, CHPOEM-L list owner
