For me, tolerance is tied to the source of the bounce. If the subscriber
has some element of control (for example, their mail box fills...) then I
am less tolerant. It is their problem to keep the mail box open enough to
take new mail. If, however, their service has transient difficulties -
that's where I am more tolerant. For one thing, they can't control it. For
another, once I get used to it, I can just ignore it. Although for those
who have transient service problems, I do sometimes ask them to go digest,
so that if they have a bad day, it's one or two errors, not 30 or 40.

Some of this, I think, will depend on your subscriber base and your
traffic. As these grow, it becomes more and more difficult to 1/ track
this kind of error, and 2/ deal with the volume.
