|What's the deal?
Various:
1) often times it is because of a misconfigured mail system and the
attachment does NOT provide useful info in addition to the posting -- thus
adding delays in transmission (bandwidth), downloading (people time), disc
space
2) strangers should not accept attachments (from strangers) that could
cause their computer harm e.g., executables or other configuration-changing
options
3) some list subscribers don't have their personal configuration options
setup to successfully process the attachment (SET listnamee SHORTHDR)
4) some list subscribers might not be able to process the attachment type
