Looks like there is a well known problem with Outlook Express 5 and // characters.  As soon as OE5 sees //stuff, it replaces it with file://stuff.
Anyone have a workaround for this?  I searched the net and see that a lot of people have noticed the problem.  One idea is to make sure there is a space after the slashes which is fine for JOB and EOJ statements but doesn't help for DD cards.  In case some of you haven't seen what I'm talking about, this affects listserv "jobs" that look like

//sub job pw=xxxxxxxx
quiet add list-name dd=names
//names dd *
address name
...
/*
//sub eoj

All the cards containing // would be changed to file://
