With the right (and it's "free", too) add-on, PROFS (and OfficeVision/VM)
works very nicely for sending and receiving Internet mail.
 
For more information about PUMP (PROFS UVic Mail Package),
exchange your cat-of-nine-tails for a wet-noodle,
and send E-mail to [log in to unmask],
putting the command 'GET PUMP LISTING' into the "body" of the E-mail.
