I agree that it is primarilary cosmetic, but its not as you describe, at
least not on the Apple (14.5) server.  Both lists now have the header
starting as you say doesn't work, and they work fine.  Omit the blank
line before the .HH and it fails.  I have ".hh" instead of ".HH" but I
doubt that case would matter.
