gee - on my list it is made quite clear: if you post to the list, your
address is public domain for all the world to see - but - the subscription
list is just the opposite - i have been offered upwards of $5000 for my
addresses (from legit software vendors), but i have (and will) declined
such offers.

the bottom line (on my list) is that the archives are public - because
there is NO implied privacy when posting ...
