Yes, for example:

<meta http-equiv="refresh"
content="0;URL=http://demo.lsoft.com/signupdemo.html">

Yes, this is typical for one-way, announcement lists.

Yes, this is the template to edit.

>2. Do I need to create a SUBEDIT-MAIN template if it doesn't exist?

It already does exist, it just has different contents.

>3. I hate sending a PW (personal listserv password). Is this MY password?

It is necessary to include your password for a PUT command, so get used to it.
Or use the WWW interface to edit the template instead.

Click on List Management on the navigation menu bar.
Scroll down and click Customizations, then select Web Templates
Enter subedit-main on the search line blank, and click 'search'
Then click 'Edit template' button above.
Select all the contents of the existing template and delete them.
note there is more than 1 screen full, be sure you delete everything.

Replace the now blank template with your redirect URL.
    for example:

    <meta http-equiv="refresh"
    content="0;URL=http://demo.lsoft.com/signupdemo.html">

(try to keep it all on one line, my mail client forces a word wrap here)
Use the correct URL for your 'thank you' page.

Click on 'Update' to save your work.

    Test by going to

http://listserv.lgca.org/app/wa.exe?SUBED2=CARDINAL-HIGHSCHOOL-PARENT-LIST

You should be redirected immediately to your 'thank you' page.

    Repeat for other lists.

>4. Is my password used for ANY user signing up to a list?

No. Only for commands you send. Every other user creates their own personal
password, if they need one. (Many people never need one.)

>5. Is there only one SUBEDIT-MAIN template with a PUT for each list?

Correct. Or edit via WWW interface, but again, you must do this separately
for each list.

>6. Does the JOIN_URL point back to the original signup screen?

No, it is supposed to point to your special signup page.

>7. If so, our JOIN_URL is http://listserv.lgca.org/signup/index.html

It need not be on listserv.lgca.org. Normally I would expect this page to be
at http://www.lgca.org/signup/index.html, which appears to be on a different
server.

>8. It appears 'joining' the URL gets the variable data to display, right?

No, filling out the form is what does this.

>9. If setup correctly, user will not be directed to subscriber options page?

Yes, if SUBEDIT-MAIN is correctly configured with the redirect URL.

>2. Your original Note3 says 'replace SUBEDIT-MAIN with simple redirect

Yes. You delete all the current contents of that template and replace with the
redirect URL.

As you discovered, that won't work here.

See answer to #9 above.

The redirect URL is perhaps an easier thing for your present level of
experience.
