One of our list owners writes:

email address shows up as the sender when everyone on the list recieves that

I have had a request to arrange for the sender to appear to be the list,
since people's email addresses often don't contain that person's name.

Is this possible to do?

What determines the From-line?  Is it browser-dependent?  Configuration-dependent?  I've seen it both ways, either the sender's name or the list name, even when the config lines are:
<<Reply-to= List,Respect (the default.)
<<Sender= Private
