If your list is using the RENEWAL= feature , and you want to WAIVE
this requirement for redistribution lists (UserID has no human
reading the mail!), then you should send (either mail or interactive
message)to LISTSERV@NODE
SET LISTNAME NORENEW FOR UserID@NODE
then when you q listname for UserID@node, the Renewal= will show
WAIVED.
