If they are already in LISTSERV format (were running under LISTSERV on
the
old server) then yes you can just copy them.

Although not stated in the manual, you should delete all (usually 2-3)
listname.DB* files.  These are the archive index files.  Since they are
now
'wrong' (you just added new archives) you need to force LISTSERV to
rebuild
the index files correctly.  You also need to delete the web index files
(listname.INDyymm) stored in the web server directory tree.  then a
get/put
of the List Header will cause both sets of indexes to be rebuilt.
