To expand on this, scan looks for an address or name substring.
Scanning for yadda, for instance, would match "[log in to unmask]",
"[log in to unmask]", "[log in to unmask]", and so on.
Scanning for yadda@*.ru matches [log in to unmask] because
it matches a substring of that address as follows:
[log in to unmask]
yadda@ * .ru
