The header of my list BSE-L begins with the following lines:

*  Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy
*

(two leading blanks).

Every time I update the list header of BSE-L via the WWW interface, one of
the leading blanks disappears and the result is:

*
* Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy
*

(only one leading blank).

Why?
