My attitude is that anything posted to a public list, especially one
that is gatewayed to usenet, can be forwarded to other lists as long as
the name of the original list and original sender are included.  I
sometimes ask permission of the sender anyway, though.  Whether I ask
permission depends upon the nature of the posting.  If it's something
impersonal, I don't usually ask.  If it strikes me as in any way personal,
I do.
