I'm pretty sure these are (or were) just regular expired mail
addresses.

And when I deleted the addresses manually I got the usual
confirming messages from LISTSERV and the normal bounce messages from
the local server.  I guess I'm wondering if I haven't got AUTO-DELETE
set right (though the error report suggests I have).
