I'm forwarding them on behalf of the yahoo.com user and at the same time I mention in the forward to the discussion list if subscribers have a gmail.com account they should use that instead until a more permanent fix occurs.

How does this fix the problem?  The errors don't generate when you OK the messages or you are re-forwarding them on behalf of the user?
