Well, true, but what the original respondent is talking about is using
'.gov' as a suffix - we use '.gov' as an infix and '.au' as a suffix.

The point is that the domain registrar for the '.gov' domain will not
accept non-US government agencies or companies trying to register a
name through them.  Thank <insert deity> for that.
