hi,
can someone explain this phenomenon?
i have seen this same message posted on other listserv lists
where the "=20" does not appear. as you can seen below,
it appears in MLA-L. is there some seeting in the configuration
that governs this display?

Hi Ralph -- Might you have a theory as to why my messages contain
"=20" and "=E9" and such in messages sent to MLA-L? (see below) And
*only* to MLA-L. We tried messing with options and settings in my
e-mail program here at UCLA, but the problem (well, *I* find it
annoying:-)) persists. This started up a few months ago, out of the
blue. Doesn't happen in any other messages I send, only those to
MLA-L.

Thanks for any ideas you might have.

Cheers,
Renee

Wanted! German translator with cataloging and a solid familiarity=20
with music theory and terminology. The ARL German Resources Project=20
AACR2 German Translation Project is urgently seeking a colleague to=20
assist with the translation of Chapter 5 (Music) and Chapter 6 (Sound=20
recordings) into German. These chapters exist in a Swiss-German=20
translation and mainly need a very close comparison with AACR2, 1998=20
Revision and some editorial work. The volunteer does not have to have=20
cataloging experience (though this would be very helpful), since we=20
are most interested in someone who can help with German-English=20
equivalents for music terminology. More information on the project=20
can be found on the Web at=20
http://lcweb.loc.gov/loc/german/AACR2/AACR2translation.html

If you (or if you know someone who) can assist with this important=20
project, please reply to Roger Brisson ([log in to unmask]) or Heidi=20
Hutchinson ([log in to unmask]) if you can help out.
