I must admit to being rather confused about the function of 'Validate= All
commands' (which my list CLIMLIST uses).
 
With earlier versions of LISTSERV, password validation was required for all
commands that modified the contents of the list (e.g. SET, SIGNOFF).  (CLIMLIST
is 'Subscription= By_owner' so SUBscribe was never an exception to this for
my list.)
 
With the version I am now using (1.8a), subscribers can SET and SIGNOFF.  What
commands are subscribers _not_ permitted to use with 'Validate= All commands'?
