Anytime I or a list member attempt to post something to the list that
has a "command" in it, I get the enclosed message.

This is *very* limiting.

I am now getting the message when subscriber forward legitimate posts.
containing important information that may have TO: XXX in the header.

1) What is the problem and why is it happening?

2) Is there a solution/work-around?

Thanks in advance.

There are four (4) ways to receive/access your AGGRESS.

1) Standard "On-the-Fly"
2) Digest

* 3) Index

4) Archives

By setting your AGGRESS subscription to INDex each day you will
receive a message which looks like the following.

Index Date Size Poster and subject
----- ---- ---- ------ ---------
000031 04/16 51 From: AGGRESS <[log in to unmask]>
Subject: National epidemiological survey data on domestic assaults by women

000032 04/16 41 From: AGGRESS <[log in to unmask]>
                  Subject: Who initiates domestic violence?

000033 04/16 38 From: AGGRESS <[log in to unmask]>
                  Subject: childhood depresion

000034 04/16 40 From: AGGRESS <[log in to unmask]>
                  Subject: weighting media violence

This message gives the Index number, Date, Size,Poster and the Subject.

o The INDEX number is automatically assigned by the system.
o The DATE is the actual date the AGGRESS was posted.
o The SIZES shown are the number of lines in the messages, not counting
     mail headers.
o The POSTER will always be AGGRESS.
o The SUBJECT is the name/subject matter of the AGGRESS.

To order/retrieve the posts you are interested in, simply reply to
the message and include the original text, just as when you are replying to
a normal message and want to quote what your correspondent said.

Before sending the message, delete the lines corresponding to the items
YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN, and make sure your reply is going to:

        "[log in to unmask]"

NOT to the list

                        "[log in to unmask]"

You will receive the AGGRESS you need.

To set your AGGRESS subscription to INDEX issue the following command:

SET AGGRESS INDEX

Example:

TO: [log in to unmask]
SUBJECT:
------------------------ Message Text ------------------------
SET AGGRESS INDEX

Done deal!

You can experiment with this command. You can not hurt the system, nor can
you "lose" any AGGRESS. They are always on the Web and "I gotta your
back."

This is one of the powerful features/methods that will save you disk space,
save the number of bookmarks necessary and put information at your finger
tips.

This method will work for most Listserv(TM) mailing lists that maintain a
notebook archive.
