Unfortunately, anyone cleaver enough to SPAM, is cleaver enough
to subscribe.  It just slows them down a little.  CONFIRM= slows
them down more.  Perhaps much more if every list were setup that
way: then their e-mail system would get flooded with both
Confirmation processing and Welcome files.  Sounds like poetic
justice.
