In reply to various LstOwn-L postings (is everybody back from holiday all of
a sudden, or telnetting from his/her summer resort?), here are some comments
from a LISTEARN point of view:
(1) Sending the command (interactive or in the main body of an email note)
INFO ?
to [log in to unmask], a.k.a. [log in to unmask] provides
some additional options over the standard LISTSERVer ones. Among
others, the owners of a (local, global?) list can be obtained via the
command
INFO OWNER list_name
(2) When sent to ListServ@hearn, the request
QUERY list_name FOR *@node_name
is taken to refer to the requester's user_id rather than to any user_id.
However, the request
QUERY listname FOR user_id@*
is *not* interpreted as referencing the requester's node_id ...
