First of all, thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. It turned out
that I was subscribed under the old .bitnet address (as I thought), but
my unsub command just wasn't getting through to the right address. So
the unsub lstown-l (global command finally worked for me. So, out with
bitnet and on to unix.
