Sorry - the person whose list I am taking over has asked me for a
command to retrieve all the logs from their own server so they can send
them to me (so we can do this archive move) -- I am not sure where to
find that information. I looked at the manual briefly, but I am guessing
I just don't know the right section to look at... Does anyone know
offhand or can someone please point me to the right section of the
documentation? Thank you...

Sorry to always be asking and responding with answers...

Shannon

It really is easy. Upload the log files to the new server. Delete the
DBNAMES and DBINDEX files in the archive folder where you have uploaded
the
log files. Either wait for LISTSERV to pick up the new files or restart
LISTSERV.

I have taken over a a list from another host entirely. We'd like to move
their archives to our server. The list has the same name (aside from the
domain name).

Can I simply add their old web archive log files to the ones currently
on my server, and then wait for everything to rebuild in the night? Can
it be that easy? Or will I break everything by so doing?
