It ain't perfect but it's a good compromise if you don't want a fully
moderated list.  We have AUTOCAT

I'ld rather put up with fixing people's subscriptions than spammers any
day, even though some sites seem to love to change their users addresses
every week (at least that's what it seems like sometimes).
