It's likely that one or another of the list archive indexes got
messed up. The LISTSERV postmaster can fix that by HOLDing the
list (so no postings are processed), deleting those index files
from the list's archive ("NOTEBOOK") directory, and then FREEing
the list. LISTSERV will rebuild the index files and
postings/archiving should work again. I think the files which
need to be recreated include listname.DBINDEX, listname.DBNAMES
and listname.DBRINDEX
