Yup, that's what I did -- checked multiple DNS.  Went to
smtp-gw-4.msn.com and that is what it reported back then; now:

220 cpimssmtpa69.msn.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version:
5.0.2195.5600 ready at  Wed, 12 Feb 2003 12:14:57 -0800
