In effect, all this 'round about discussion is really asking for a
new LISTSERV option: DO NOT ARCHIVE and it's corollary, DO NOT DIGEST
/INDEX.
 
Maybe it could be a new Topics: reserved word/action such that
 
Subject: DNA: monthly FAQ Attack
 
would prevent storing into the archives?
