I have not followed this whole thread, so apologies if this has been
posted, but I thought people might be interested in having  a better
understanding of the mechanism by which many Yahoo accounts have been
compromised.

I'm sure plenty of account hijacks are due to phishing victims and
stolen databases, but clearly not all.
