Berkeley has had two separate problems which have unfortunately
affected Listserv and lists:  1) we're having a problem with our
link to UTAHCCA.  Although we've dumped to tape four times now - with
a total of some 12,000 files, we haven't been able to keep the queues
low enough to not impact Listserv.  We have an automatic process which
takes Listserv offline depending not only on total and net files, but
also SMTP queues - we've found that we can significantly improve our
throughput this way.  2) the Berkeley campus name server was down for
about an hour yesterday - this is what caused the bouncing and
auto-deletes - our network group is still trying to find out what happened.
