if you send your commands to LISTSERV via mail, and log that mail
in a notebook, could you not stack all the commands at the top,
insert the line:
// eoj
then stack the corresponding comments
??

I guess you could actually FORWARD the sample item to LISTSERV
with the two lines:
<appropriate command>
// eoj
inserted at the top if you really want/need complete doc
