A quick update on yesterday's question/query involving a Daily Error
Report and the inability of Listserv to delete the user.
I have searched for the user using a variety of methods, with no success,
including the ways indicated by Pete Weiss, Jacob Haller, and Mark
Williamson.
NSLOOKUP yielded no clues.
I took Francoise Becker's advice and reconfigured the header, changing
this line to:
Auto-Delete= Yes,Full-Auto,Max(10),Delay(1),Probe(1)
The only real change I've noticed is I don't get a Daily error report
now. I haven't received ANY error reports, despite having list traffic
within the last 24-hours.
A couple of questions:
I can't remember, but I think I didn't have the "Probe(1)" line in my
header. When this is all solved, can I delete it safely, leaving the
remainder of that Auto-Delete line, as stated above?
Pete Weiss has recommended I talk to the Listserv maintaner (not me) to
"create a DISTRIBUTE MAIL job to all recipients in order to "force" a
bounce back to you from the offending "real subscriber"."
Jacob Haller has recommended I turn off Auto-Delete for a day.
I was under the impression that Francoise's option (above) would generate
the requesite error into my e-mailbox. Perhaps I misunderstood.
What should I try now?
