Pete Weiss's suggestion about // eoj is the classic. The very newest
builds also stop processing commands once they hit a "--" line; they
continue to echo the lines back in the response, but don't process them.
On the other hand, LISTSERV's pretty graceful about processing the lines
anyway ... you get up to ten error messages and then it stops, but it still
does your work for you. The only concern is if you .signature has a valid
command in it.

That would be your mail system, not LISTSERV. Are you sending/receiving
mail at the same host at which lsv is running? Is Sendmail set up to queue
by default? (These are just to get you started -- if you want to follow up
you should do it either with me privately or on comp.mail.sendmail, 'cause
it's not really a LISTSERV issue :-) )
